Agence France-Presse — Getty Images | Almost immediately after Cyclone Nargis struck the mainland of Myanmar on May 2, the Myanmar Red Cross began distributing thousands of family kits containing clothing, cookware, blankets and hygiene supplies. Emergency shelters have been established throughout the region.
