Perception: "The Red Cross is idle while waiting for the next big disaster to happen."

Reality: When the disaster happens to you . . . it's big. That's why our chapter is there helping hundreds of families each year who lose their home, belongings and livelihoods due to house fires and floods here in the greater Cincinnati community. Our community is wonderfully generous in supporting national events, however it is critical that we care for the needs of our neighbors right here at home.

To Be Red Cross Ready means to have the structure and skills in place to respond when any emergency happens.  We are working hard to spread the word about how your Red Cross is changing lives right here at home. You may have been invited to come meet us and hear our story in a small group setting. Give us one hour. We'll call you after the program to hear your opinion about how we're sharing our message - no strings attached!
