Since 1905, the Cincinnati Area Chapter of the American Red Cross has provided services to our community. Volunteers make it possible for the Chapter to serve more people in over 18 counties. We are always searching for new volunteers with time, energy, and ideas to share.

There are opportunities for volunteers in all areas of the American Red Cross. Whether it is as a Disaster Action Team member, who assists families affected by local and/or national disasters, as a military case worker, helping families of deployed service members, or as a member of a planning committee, helping to organize large fundraisers and events, there is a place for you here at the American Red Cross, and we are eager to have you on board!

To fill out an online application, please start here with the online application. This will begin the process, and you will receive information on upcoming trainings and steps necessary to apply for a volunteer position here with the American Red Cross. You will be prompted to take an online training, then to attend an in-person information session here at our chapter. After this, depending on what type of opportunity you are interested in, you may be asked to participate in additional training, submit to a background check, participate in an interview and/or other requirements.
