American Red Cross Health and Safety training in your school!
The Cincinnati Area Chapter is committed to helping create safe school environments. That is why we are now offering free training for teachers, parents and community volunteers who want to teach Red Cross courses to the students, faculty and staff of their schools. What’s more - all participant materials are provided at no cost for courses taught by a Red Cross certified instructor from your school community to other members of the school community.
All courses for students are linked to National Education Standards, making it easy for educators to integrate Red Cross programs into their curriculum.
District personnel in charge of training can utilize Red Cross courses as part of preparing staff to respond to emergencies.
Here are some examples of the ways that school personnel might take advantage of the School Safety Partners program:
• A fifth grade teacher can be trained to teach Basic Aid Training to her class.
• PTO/PTA parents can become instructors in First Aid for Little People, and train every first grade student during a safety week campaign.
• A secondary health teacher can offer First Aid/CPR/AED training to students in his health classes.
• A high school coach can provide a Sport Safety Training class for the rest of the district’s coaching staff.
• A district trainer can train cafeteria staff in CPR, including instruction on the choking rescue.
Contact us today to bring these and other Red Cross courses to your school community.
The Cincinnati Area Chapter proudly serves Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties in Kentucky, Brown, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton and Warren counties in Ohio.
